Max Travis is an Alaskan commercial fisherman. He loves salmon as much as he loves breathing, and they love him, too.
Max writes about adventures he’s had, heard of, and made up as he’s set his net for over twenty-five years on the waters of Lower Cook Inlet and the Outer District, along the Gulf of Alaska.
He’s passionate about maintaining a safe environment for the fish that are so much a part of his life and that’s why he’s opposed to anything that screws with the natural runs, including net-pens, fish-farms, hatcheries, weirs, and other impediments to the freedom of wild salmon.

First Impressions:
I took it up last night…and read 14 chapters! Nicely done I am really enjoying it! ~Nancy
Joan: Dove into Rocky Bay last night (did you like the way I did that ;-)? And it kept me awake for an hour past when I usually crash – I couldn’t close my kindle until they got out of the tsunami, lol. I was carried away to AK and commercial fishing. I was riding that wave and scared shitless until I knew Stormy and her crew were safe – and the intrigue of the woman in the crate and where the heck is she will be fun for tonight’s reading. I am anxious to go to bed and continue on with the story because I DO really like it !!!
